Ben brings to ARIAM a wealth of experience in different sectors. His most recent roles were with the Australian Antarctic Program scientific missions at Heard Island and Casey Research Station. He has also had roles with the Australian Electoral Commission, he has consulted with Graincorp on port and rail logistics and volunteered with Disaster Relief Australia in disaster recovery. This builds on his career as an Engineering officer in the Australian Army specialising in geospatial sciences and remote sensing.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Earth Sciences) from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma of Geographic Information Science from the University of Queensland, and a Master of Public and International Law from the University of Melbourne. He also holds a remote pilot license from CASA.
